Great Scholarship Opportunity!

  • Do you have clear career, academic and/or vocational goals?
  • Will you be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education during the 2018-2019 academic year?
  • Would scholarship funds help you achieve your goals?

The MENSA Education & Research Foundation Scholarship Program is now open!

More information and the online application are available at:

http://www.mensafoundation.org/scholarships

Deadline to apply: January 15, 2018 before 10 p.m.

Redwood Empire Mensa, local chapter of American Mensa, is accepting scholarship applications from students with a home or school address in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, or Del Norte County.

Why apply?

  • Scholarships are merit based; applications are judged on an essay submitted online, without consideration of grades, academic program, or financial need.
  • Scholarship winners receive award checks directly. Recipients may use scholarship money for their highest priority needs during the school year.
  • At least two local scholarships will be awarded, for $500 and $600. Local applications are also considered for regional and national scholarships in amounts up to $1,000.
  • Applicants DO NOT have to be MENSA members to apply for and receive scholarships.
  • It’s just really cool to have a MENSA Scholarship on your resume.

The Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a philanthropic, non-profit, tax-exempt organization funded by gifts from members of American Mensa and other donors. American Mensa is an organization open to anyone who scores in the top two percent on an accepted, standardized intelligence test. For more information about Mensa, or to apply for membership, visit www.us.mensa.org or call (800) 66-MENSA.
