Personal Support & Resources

Need Support Now?

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) offers 24/7 call, text and chat access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing suicidal, substance use, and/or mental health crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. People can also dial 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.

Our goal is to open a Wellness Center in the next month or so, but students can continue to get help from their counselors if they come to the office.

In the meantime, as a parent or guardian, you can check in with your student regularly by asking questions like “How are you feeling today?” “What was the best part of your day?” “What was the most challenging part of your day?” “Who did you eat lunch with today, or did you sit by yourself?” Making sure you ask your student how they are doing will help keep the lines of communication open.

If you need help or are concerned about your student, please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s counselor.
